You know that iconic image of Johnny Cash flipping off the camera on stage? That was Jim Marshall‘s work. Marshall was loosely the photographic parallel of the rock writer Lester Bangs. He passed away yesterday. The indispensable Joe McNally gives Jim a fitting eulogy [warning: NSFW language in a quote there] and in doing so, gives us perspective on where we are now.
